Bill Poss is a songwriter and performer from Effingham, IL who has been touring North America for two decades - first solo, then with the Ginn Sisters and Fred Eaglesmith.

Comfortable standing my himself telling stories and performing a riveting folk set, or rocking out with his five piece band, Bill Poss cuts a wide path, shifting easily from folk and bluegrass to country and rock. His years on the road have provided him with great fodder for his songs and his stories. The Useful Tools are whoever he is playing with and there are full bands ready to play in Effingham, IL, Lawrence, KS, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA and Hamilton, ON

Bill Poss has 5 CDs and a book, the Bill Poss Travelogue, to his name. His most recent CD was "Saltwater", recorded in Lawrence, KS and released in Dec. 2014. Poss' first three CDs, recorded in Austin from 1999-2003 under his full given name, Bill Passalacqua, have just been rereleased as a 2 CD set. Both are available now in the 'Store'.

In addition to Bill's writing, recording and performing, he also runs an annual music festival in Illinois. It's called Moccasin Creek Festival, and it features folk, bluegrass, alternative country, roots rock, and blues - "Americana" music.
